SEASON:                   2008  Season officially starts Tuesday, August 5^th.

AGE LEVELS         MITES: 7, 8, and 9 yrs old.  Age 7 by 9/1/08, May not be 10 prior to 9/1/08. 

                                  PEEWEES: 11 yrs old and under.  May not be 12 prior to 9/1/08. 

                                  MIDGETS:  14 yrs old and under.  May not be 15 prior to December 31^st, 2008.  May not be a freshman in high school. 

WEIGH-IN:               ALL football players must attend the mandatory Old Colony Youth Football League official weigh-in held in Rockland on 9/6/08. 

                                    All players must make weight for assigned level of play.  Each football player will be weighed prior to each game by weigh-in officials. 

                                    Players are allowed a 1 lb weight gain each week after the first official weigh-in.  The decisions of the weigh-in officials are final.

                ** IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND MANDATORY WEIGH-IN ON 9/6/08 YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY FOR THE SEASON!!!!

GAMES:                    Home games played at Plymouth South High School.  Away games to be determined-schedule given out the end of August.

                                    PSYF participates in the Old Colony Youth Football League.  Official League games are scheduled for either Saturday nights or Sundays. 

                                    PSYF, based on roster sizes, plans to participate in unofficial JV games.  These games are played during the day on Saturdays. 

                                    PSYF participates in J V games in an effort to afford players the opportunity to improve ones’ football abilities based on skill level and

                                    taking safety into consideration. All players who may play in JV games are eligible for official League games on Sunday and are expected to attend.

NEED AUGUST 5^TH: **Medical release  within the last year from physician that child may participate in sports.            

                                     PLAYERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE WITHOUT RELEASE!!!

                                    June 2008 report card

                                    Original birth certificate if child has NOT participated on 2007.( Copy will be made there that day)

EQUIPMENT:          All  equipment supplied by PSYF except: mouthpiece, practice jersey(available for purchase through PSYF), cup, cleats, and any other

                                   optional pads-rib pads, elbow pads, etc.  NOTE; Rubber molded cleats only!!!

VOLUNTEERS:       We are always looking for volunteers in all aspects of the program.  Please fill out a volunteer form and return it to PSYF.
